About the Role
Bluestones Medical is currently recruiting highly skilled and experienced ITU Nurses to support critical care services at Bangor Hospital. This role offers an excellent opportunity for nurses with intensive care experience seeking flexible agency work while delivering life-saving care to critically ill patients.
As an ITU Nurse, you will work within a specialist multidisciplinary team, providing advanced clinical care, continuous monitoring, and support to patients with complex needs in a fast-paced critical care environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide expert nursing care to critically ill and ventilated patients
Monitor and manage complex patient conditions using advanced equipment
Administer intravenous medications, sedation, and life-support therapies
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans
Operate and manage equipment such as ventilators, infusion pumps, and monitoring systems
Respond rapidly to emergencies and clinical deterioration
Support and communicate with patients’ families in sensitive situations
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Adhere to infection control, safeguarding, and hospital protocols
Requirements
Valid NMC registration as a Registered Nurse (Adult)
Minimum 6 months recent UK ITU / Critical Care experience
Proven competency in caring for ventilated patients
Right to work in the UK
Strong clinical decision-making skills under pressure
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Flexibility to work across days, nights, and weekends
Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care
Pay Rates
💷 Competitive hourly rates from £20.00 to £44.00 per hour, depending on shift type and experience.
