About the Role

Bluestones Medical is currently recruiting experienced Registered General Nurses (RGNs) to support Aneurin Bevan University Health Board across a variety of hospital settings throughout South East Wales.

We have a range of flexible agency shifts available, giving you the opportunity to choose when you work while earning competitive rates of pay.

As a General Nurse, you will provide high-quality, patient-centred care to adult patients across medical, surgical and specialist wards. You will work alongside experienced multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, compassionate and effective nursing care while maintaining the highest professional standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective and compassionate nursing care to adult patients.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments safely in line with NMC standards and hospital policies.
• Monitor patients’ conditions and recognise changes in health status.
• Escalate concerns appropriately and respond to deteriorating patients.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Support patients and their families throughout their healthcare journey.
• Work collaboratively with doctors, therapists and the wider multidisciplinary team.
• Promote patient dignity, safety and wellbeing at all times.
• Follow infection prevention, safeguarding and clinical governance policies.

Essential Requirements

• Registered General Nurse (RGN) with a valid NMC Pin.
• Minimum of 6 months’ recent UK adult nursing experience.
• Experience within medical, surgical or acute hospital environments.
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Ability to provide satisfactory employment references.
• Up-to-date mandatory training (or willingness to complete).
