About the Role
Delamere Rehabilitation Centre is seeking a compassionate and experienced Staff Nurse (Registered General Nurse or Registered Mental Health Nurse) to join our multidisciplinary team within our specialist drug and alcohol rehabilitation service. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive, therapeutic environment dedicated to helping individuals achieve recovery and long-term wellbeing.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality clinical care to service users undergoing detoxification and rehabilitation for substance misuse, ensuring safety, dignity, and person-centred support at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high standards of nursing care within a residential rehabilitation setting
Support patients through detoxification and recovery programmes
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans
Administer medications safely, including those related to withdrawal management
Monitor physical and mental health, identifying and responding to risks
Conduct risk assessments and manage challenging situations appropriately
Provide emotional support, education, and relapse-prevention guidance
Work collaboratively with therapists, doctors, and support staff
Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with regulatory standards
Promote a safe, therapeutic, and recovery-focused environment
Requirements
Valid NMC registration as an RGN or RMN
Minimum 2 years post-registration nursing experience
Previous experience in drug and alcohol services or substance misuse (essential)
Strong understanding of detoxification processes and withdrawal management
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work compassionately with vulnerable individuals
Strong organisational and clinical decision-making skills
Commitment to person-centred, recovery-focused care
Salary
💷 £33,500 – £38,500 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications.
