Bluestones Medical Agency is currently recruiting experienced and compassionate Band 5 Community Nurses to support Children’s Services within Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. This is an excellent opportunity for dedicated nurses looking for flexible agency work while making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families within the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to children and young people within community settings.
- Support children with a range of complex, acute, and long-term health needs.
- Carry out clinical assessments, care planning, and implementation of treatment plans.
- Administer medication and treatments in line with NMC guidelines and local policies.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, schools, social care services, and families.
- Provide health education and emotional support to children, parents, and carers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Promote safeguarding and ensure the welfare of children at all times.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN Child / RSCN or equivalent) with valid NMC registration.
- Minimum 6 months recent NHS or community nursing experience.
- Experience working with children and young people is essential.
- Strong communication and clinical assessment skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred.
