[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]So, the latest news is that the government has announced that health workers are set to receive a \’derisory\’ 1% pay rise (source: Guardian). As you might imagine, unions, nurses, doctors and other healthcare workers affected by the decision are justifiably furious with the decision.
With inflation currently running higher than this, the fact that this will account for less than £5 a week for most healthcare staff, is further impacted and means this amounts to an effective pay cut for many.
We\’re constantly having new rules, guidelines and legislation foisted on to this sector, and the NHS is already stretched as it is. There\’s a shortage of 3,500 midwives, for example, and this is only likely to get worse as a result of this decision. The recent guidelines from NHS Improvement, regarding substantive and agency workers, will further compound this too.
What can be done?
We\’ve had a huge influx of calls and emails and pleasingly we have advice and options to share with nurses that want to know how they can mitigate the impact of these changes. There are four main approaches we have for nurses – which can be found HERE.
We\’re offering FREE CRB checks, FREE training and FREE uniforms too. It won\’t cost you to join us as a full time worker.
So, please contact us for more information.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=\”373\” alignment=\”center\” style=\”vc_box_shadow\”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
