In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, as of 25th March 2020, the UK government has produced a list of key workers that it deems are critical to the COVID-19 response.
The full list is available on the Government website, but we\’ve included the pertinent part of the list below that relates to health and social care.
From a recruitment agency perspective, Bluestones Medical forms an essential element of the healthcare supply chain – so not only is our work classed as essential, but it also means we\’re planning to remain open throughout the pandemic to support the NHS and our other healthcare clients and workers. You can find out more about this approach in our recent news release about Business Continuity.
Health and social care
The key worker list provided by the government includes health and social care. Specifically, this includes but is not limited to doctors, nurses, midwives, paramedics, social workers, care workers, and other frontline health and social care staff including volunteers; the support and specialist staff required to maintain the UK’s health and social care sector; those working as part of the health and social care supply chain, including producers and distributers of medicines and medical and personal protective equipment.
We will be writing to our workers individually to furnish them with a key worker letter to help substantiate their right to be mobile during this crisis.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
