Key Responsibilities:

Support children with disabilities and/or challenging behavior, encouraging personal care, promoting activities, and offering emotional support
Build strong, positive relationships with the children, their families, and the professional team involved in their care
Maintain accurate records and raise concerns to the appropriate channels
Follow best practices in delivering the care package
Demonstrate a deep, genuine passion for improving the lives of young people
What skills and qualities do you need?

The ability to work flexible 12-hour, 24-hour, or Waking Night shifts
A natural communicator, with the ability to connect with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams from all walks of life
Compassion, patience, and empathy towards children with complex needs
A strong team player who can follow guidelines and procedures
Excellent time-management and organizational skills
Experience & Qualifications:

NVQ Level 2 or above in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
At least 1 year of experience working with children with disabilities and/or challenging behavior
Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies related to child protection and safeguarding
An Enhanced Adults and Children’s DBS on the update service (advantageous)
A valid driver’s license with business insurance or willingness to obtain
