Join our Intensive Rehabilitation Service in South Wiltshire, where you’ll make a real difference in the lives of patients recovering from hospital admissions. This inpatient rehabilitation setting provides individuals with focused support to achieve their recovery goals, enabling them to regain independence and transition either back home or to a more suitable care setting.
As a Senior Occupational Therapist (Band 6), you will:
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, assistant practitioners, rehabilitation support workers, care staff, and social workers. Support the Clinical Lead in guiding and developing the team, including Band 5 therapists, Assistant Practitioners, and Rehabilitation
Main duties of the job:
To provide a specialist Occupational Therapy service for inpatients.
To work within a multi-professional team.
Assess, interpret, plan and implement treatment and care to patients on the stroke pathway.
Wherever possible to reduce in-patient length of stay by promoting and supporting early discharge.
Apply a patient centred approach.
To provide advice and support to Teams.
