Practice Nurse (Locum) – Flexible GP Sessions | Liverpool, Warrington, Chester & Southport
Rates: £28-£33 per hour (Ltd / Sole trader)
We’re recruiting experienced Practice Nurses to support GP surgeries and community Primary Care.
This is ideal for nurses seeking flexible weekday locum sessions with ongoing rota availability in supportive Primary Care environments.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll deliver chronic disease management and reviews, NHS health checks, treatment room duties, wound care and dressings, patient education/health promotion, and carry out cytology plus childhood and travel immunisations. You’ll also maintain accurate clinical documentation using EMIS.
Requirements
- NMC registration
- Minimum 2 years post-qualified experience
- Previous Primary Care or GP Practice experience (essential)
- Experience in chronic disease management
- Immunisation experience, including childhood immunisations
- Strong communication skills and ability to work autonomously
- EMIS experience required/expected (SystmOne advantageous)
Desirable
- V300 qualification
- Experience supporting patients with asthma, COPD or diabetes
