Streamer Nurse – Urgent Treatment Centre | Dudley

We are currently seeking experienced Streamer Nurses to support an established Urgent Treatment Centre in Dudley on a locum basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for nurses with urgent care, triage, and assessment experience who are confident managing the initial patient journey within a busy UTC environment.

As a Streamer Nurse, you will play a key role in ensuring patients are assessed promptly, clinically prioritised, and directed to the most appropriate care pathway. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team including GPs, ANPs, ACPs, and other healthcare professionals to support safe and effective patient flow.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake initial assessment and clinical streaming of patients attending the Urgent Treatment Centre
• Identify the most appropriate pathway based on presenting symptoms and clinical need
• Prioritise patients according to urgency and escalate concerns appropriately
• Complete observations, clinical assessments, and relevant documentation
• Recognise red flags and ensure timely escalation where required
• Support patient flow and reduce unnecessary delays within the service
• Maintain accurate clinical records in line with governance requirements
• Work collaboratively with the wider urgent care team

Key Candidate Requirements

• Active NMC registration with no restrictions
• Recent experience working within:
  • Urgent Treatment Centres (UTC)
  • Emergency Departments
  • Walk-in Centres
  • Minor Injury Units
  • Out of Hours (OOH) services
  • Acute assessment environments
• Strong clinical assessment and triage skills
• Confident managing a broad range of undifferentiated presentations
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced urgent care environment
• Experience with Adastra clinical system desirable/essential depending on service requirements
• Excellent communication and decision-making skills
• Enhanced DBS and full compliance documentation required

Rate: £30-£35 per hour
Payment: Ltd Company or Sole Trader
Shifts: Flexible day, evening, night, and weekend sessions available
